– Ships crane to be in sound and workable condition at all times.
– Shore cranes available.
– Local holidays are : Feb 3rd, April 7th , May 1st , Jun 25th , Sept 7th, Sept 25th, Oct 4th, Dec 25th.
– The port operates at MARSEC level 1.

PORT OF BEIRA
What is the Port information relevant to Beira Port and what are the other important information pertaining to operating capacity/working methods/business practice of Beira port ?
The Clearance Draft (CD) at the Beira transiting channel is 8.0m plus the height of the tide.
– The maximum LOA/BEAM is 200/32,8m .
– Depth alongside official information in force is 10.00 m brackish water at lowest tide.
– Water density is 1015 /1023.
– The Terminal works around the clock, 7 days a week.
– The port works 2 shifts as from 0700 to 1900 – 1900 to 0700 hrs.
– Berthing and sailing of vessels is restricted to high tide. There are 2 tides available during the 24 hours – in intervals of 12 hours.
– Berthing congestion may occur and the situation will need to be evaluated closer to the ETA of the vessel.
– Ships crane to be in sound and workable condition at all times and no shore cranes are available in port.
– Local holidays are : Feb 3rd, April 7th , May 1st , Jun 25th , Sept 7th, Sept 25th, Oct 4th, Dec 25th.

The Clearance Draft (CD) at the Quelimane transiting channel is 0.5m at chart datum plus the height of the tide. (The pilot dictates the entry and departure draft).
– The maximum LOA/BEAM is 150/32.8m .
– Depth alongside official information in force is 2.0m brackish water at lowest tide.
– Max safe permissible draft at high tide of the day is 4.5m
– Max safe permissible draft at average high tide of the day is 3.8m.
– Water density is 1012 /1025.
– The Terminal works around the clock, 7 days a week.
– The port works 3 shifts as from 0700 to 1500, 1500 to 2300, 2300 to 0700 hrs.
– Berthing and sailing of vessels restricted to high tide and day light. There are 2 tides available during the 24 hours – in intervals of 12 hours.
– Berthing congestion is very rare or NIL.
– Ships crane to be in sound and workable condition at all times and no shore cranes are available in port.
– One mobile crane with capacity of 35-45 tons is available in Quelimane port.

– The maximum LOA/BEAM is 171 m/35 m (for GC berth – only 1 berth available currently due to 2 other GC berths under refurbishment work).
– Depth alongside official information in force is 8.5 m at lowest tide (for GC berth)
– The maximum LOA/BEAM is 200 m/35 m (for Fuel/Bulk Liquid berth no.4).
– Depth alongside official information in force is 9.3 m at lowest tide (for Fuel/Bulk Liquid berth no.4).
– The maximum LOA/BEAM is 200 m/35 m (for Container berths).
– Depth alongside official information in force is 13.5 m at lowest tide (for Container berths – 2 berths available).
– Water density is 1025 (can reduce slightly during rainy season Nov/Dec & Mar/Apr).
– The Terminal works around the clock, 7 days a week.
– The port works 3 shifts as from 0700 to 1430, 1500 – 2230, 2300 – 0630 hrs.
– No restrictions for Berthing and sailing of vessels.
– Berthing congestion occurs very often due to present port refurbishment work.
– Ships crane to be in sound and workable condition at all times and no shore cranes are available in port (except Container Terminal Gantry Cranes).

On-board screening will be carried out by health officers at anchorage immediately upon arrival Nacala port. Vessel will be allowed to berth if tests proved negative and otherwise the vessel will be on quarantine. No shore passes will be issued.

– Water density is 1025.
– The Terminal works around the clock, 7 days a week.
– The port works 3 shifts as from 0700 to 1500, 1500 to 2300, 2300 to 0700 hrs.
– Berthing congestion may occur and the situation will need to be evaluated closer to the ETA of the vessel.
– Ships crane to be in sound and workable condition at all times and no shore cranes are available in port.
– Local holidays are : Feb 3rd, April 7th , May 1st , Jun 25th , Sept 7th, Sept 25th, Oct 4th, Dec 25th.
